Donate Blood. Save a life. Groups such as the American Red Cross depend on blood donations from the public in order to serve those in need of a blood transfusion. Many people have misconceptions about donating blood. They fear that it will make them sick, increase their chances of getting a disease from the needles used, or take too much time out of their busy schedule. These misconceptions prevent a lot of eligible donors from providing the much needed blood reserve.
Blood donation groups can help eliminate some of these misconceptions by taking the time to inform the public of the safety and ease of donating blood. Information such as their clean, new needle procedure for each donor can erase any fear of spreading diseases. Showing the extensive training that each employee has to undergo in order to draw blood can help inform the public on how safe it is. People are often reassured by other donors’ experiences. Perhaps include pictures of donors relaxed and pain-free while donating. Provide statistics about how much blood is needed compared to how much is donated per year. Include statistics about how many lives are saved and how many could have been saved.
By providing information and even pictures, the group can increase its number of donors. However, this information must be organized in a user-friendly way. By having all of this information organized and conveniently located on a flash drive, potential donors can simply view statistics, pictures, and other information on nearby computers in order to assist in their decision.
CFgear can provide attractive layouts that pop up automatically and can provide information to those who aren’t even computer savvy. With all of the information before them, a potential donor can see how easy, safe, and convenient donating blood is.
Blood donation groups often aim their focus at a particular group, such as college students. If there is a blood donation set up on a college campus, the group must find a way to encourage students to donate. They will often offer a free t-shirt. However, students rarely wear these t-shirts. Perhaps these groups could offer a free CFgear flash drive for donating blood. Every college student needs a flash drive to effectively organize their school work. Bulk flash drives displaying the group’s logo can be made in several different colors.
CFgear flash drives can offer a blood donation group the chance to increase their donor list in multiple ways.
